Learn how to make your own cloth sanitary protection

The amount of sanitary pads that a woman use during her life is mad (average of 11, 000!). Most of them are full of nasty chemicals pretty bad for your health (see online the recent studies) and bad for the earth too as the pads will end up incinerated of landfilled...

There is no small steps to make the world a better place and making your own reusable sanitary pads is actually a very easy and huge one!

Join us for this two and a half hour long workshop to learn how to make your own washable sanitary products.

All materials will be provided but if you have some soft cotton fabric you would like to use please bring it along.

We will be doing some simple hand stitching and using sewing machines. No previous experience in sewing needed as long as you are happy to learn the basic use of a sewing machine.

Workshop suitable for adults and accompanied teenagers.

£20 Adult

£15 Teen and concession price (student, low incomes and unemployed).
